Choosing a Domain Name For SEO Recognition

This Article was published by myself prior to the Christmas Break on Ezine Articles, Choosing a domain name

How to choose a domain name is not as straight forward as you would think, there are 1000’s of domain names being used, that have no bearing on what the site owner is planning to market, whether that be a service or a product.

For example SCS is a well known soft furnishing company, based in the UK and there website is SCS.co.uk, this domain name just does not jump off the page and say, “sofas for sale”, that is because the company was founded before the onset of the internet marketing, so although they have a website, it would be quite difficult around the name, so their marketing effort are centered elsewhere, no-one could have imagined how big, internet marketing would become.

On the contrary choosing a domain name for the one of the largest toy distributers in the world, ToysRus, was easy as there website is, yes, you guessed it ToysRus.com. This alone has helped it become a global phenomenon in the market of selling toys, and therefore there internet marketing strategy is much easier than the example with the sofas above.

So what is my point? if you can obtain a domain name that contains your primary keyword phrase, then that would give you the best chance of obtaining a good ranking, in the search engines, which in real terms would mean you are on Oxford street in London rather than a back street in Manchester, more traffic equates to more revenue.

If you are unable to achieve the primary keyword phrase as 1 word, then try splitting it and use hyphens, this will do no harm from an SEO point of view, apart from the obvious that if someone typing your domain should omit the hyphens, they would end up at your direct competitor, not good!

If you have spent anytime at all building up a business and you have absolutely got to have that domain name, then you could always try contacting the current owner, using the whois registry and request to purchase it from them, assuming they would be prepared to sell it to you, you might find it could cost a premium amount of cash.

But if you are just starting out, then a cheaper alternative, might be your best option.

Auto Profit Launcher – What Makes it So Different?
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Peter_Shuker]Peter Shuker

You may or may not know that Andrew X and Steven lee Jones are to launch their latest creation, Auto Profit Launcher. This product is being staged as one of the hottest, most eagerly awaited launches of 2009.

Why you may ask?, well that is what we would all like to know, in my humble opinion, it has probably been hyped up, due to their experience and respect that they have gained in the world of internet marketing over recent times, due to products like Google Magic Formula and Niche Socialiser, which continue to serve thousands of satisfied customers, around the globe.

So lets get to it, What is Auto Profit Launcher?

Well essentially it is a website creation software application, I know what your thinking, another one of those boring products, those are ten a penny. and many are available for FREE, Komposer, Site Rubix, even Microsoft Frontpage, why should I pay for this one.

Well Auto Profit Launcher is different, it will enable you the USER, to first decide on which template you wish to use, and believe me they come in many guises, from product based websites to specialised affiliate review type pages onto squeeze pages, sometimes referred to as capture pages.

Auto Profit Launcher, will do away, with all the technicalities of uploading your site via FTP onto your server, it is all done with a touch of a button, but by far the best bit, and the stuff that newbie internet marketers rarely get to grips with, is that the site is then SEO’d automatically, this means that your site has a better chance of appearing high up in the search engine results page after submission, it will not sit there on your server gathering dust, receiving little or no traffic, and as we all know traffic is the lifeblood of any website, but this little gem all happens in the background, without YOU having to do anything.

The pre-launch sequence of videos and PDF’s is coming soon, don’t let this opportunity, slip you bye. Get hold of [http://majorwealthclub.com/auto-profit-launcher/]Auto Profit Launcher and the promos, hot off the press.

Blogging For Business Owners

November 8th, 2009

If you run a small company, you may find that the world of blogging for business owners is a world that you want to be a part of.

Blogging is a great way to get the word out to consumers about your product or service, and it can even be useful for inspiring employee loyalty and helping you keep your workers at peak morale. If you are looking for a way to take your business to the next level, consider what starting a blog might be able to do for you.

Blogging for business owners has a lot in common with all other types of blogging, but it has its own unique pitfalls and strengths. The key to having a successful blog as a business owner is keeping your goals clear and concrete at every step of your blogging adventure. It can be all to easy to get sidetracked, especially if you are just learning about the exciting possibilities of blogging technology, but if you want your blog to succeed you need to stay focused. Write up a plan for how often you will update, how you will promote your blog and retain readers, whether you will feature photographs or video, and other aspects of your blog, and then stick to it with the same kind of determination that you used when you built your company.

Optimising Your Blog For Search Engines

October 22nd, 2009

Optimizing your blog for search engines

Competition is fierce online, and the top places on the search result pages are the most hunted for; therefore, any blog owner who tries to make money on the Internet needs to use a whole strategy to attract the best visitors and the highest traffic. The working principle for the blog optimization for search engines is  the keyword. When you start the race for SEO (search engine optimization), you already have an advantage: blogs are usually the ones to receive more traffic then other complex sites due to their highly informational content. By keywords we mean those sentences or structures that a user types in the search box of an engine.

Blogs mainly rely on articles that are regularly updated and re-freshened, so that they have something new to offer all the time. Before you write the blog content, you’ll need to make a list with all the keywords related to your domain and which are most likely to be typed in the search box by Internet users. A brain-storming session is ideal to find the best structures you need to include in the articles; keep in mind that there are some rules you may have to follow here as well.

For instance, choosing some very general keywords is not the best way to promote a business via a blog given the fact that though you may receive a high traffic, the profit could remain modest. The explanation is very simple here: too broad terms attract all sorts of users, even those that are not interested in purchasing something. SEO experts use all sorts of parameters to check the profitability of a blog, and one of them deals precisely with the number of relevant users the web-page gets.

Once you manage to get the most high-in-demand keywords, you’ll still have to do a lot of work in order to keep the blog position high in traffic. The status of keywords may change from one day to the other, given the intense competition that characterizes the Internet in general; consequently, every time you update or change the site content, you need to perform a keyword analysis beforehand and see where they stand in rankings. Last but not least, there is one thing that remains the golden rule of search engine optimization: quality informational content, that should be the essence of any successful blog!

Franchise Alternatives – What Are They?

October 19th, 2009

Franchise Alternatives – What Are They?
By Peter Shuker

Let us consider for a minute, that you have decided to begin a new venture. And the only real possibility of you being able to do that, on a limited budget is to begin down the internet marketing path, or take up with 1 of the many franchises available.

If we were to look at a franchise for example, you would be looking to invest a minimum of $100K, just to get your foot in the door. Does that surprise you?

Sure, you can get cheaper franchises but what you are really doing is swapping 1 day job for another.

There was some research carried out in 2007 and it claimed that 40% of franchisees are earning less than the minimum wage and are working a lot harder for it too, what for, for the privilege of saying you are self employed.

After your initial outlay, you will be expected in most cases, to undergo a training program, a condition of acceptance to their program, so with all that in mind, which business would be more suited to you, as an independent person, starting a new business venture, you guessed it “Internet marketing“.

Now don’t get me wrong here there are literally 1000’s of business opportunities on the net, and many will be all too eager to take your money and run, or claim that you can earn a £million within weeks or months of starting. Let me tell you something, they don’t exist.

In most franchise or small businesses, the following adage is true, “You Get What You Pay For”, if you where to invest a $100K in a business, the chances are, you most likely be embarking down a new career path, that would mean a necessity to give up your current day job.

That is where YourNetBiz is different, from both the point of view of training and giving up your day job.

The training is supplied primarily by the person who sponsored you into the business, as he or she also has an investment in you, and yours.

That is where the Jeremiah2911 team are different, there are literally 100’s of members all with different skill levels, who are contactable 24hrs per day, time zone dependent, to answer your questions and help you, across hurdles you will come across on your journey. If you are interested in a franchise alternative. Secondly, If you are already involved in internet marketing and have a desire to build an email list, then sign up for my FREE ezine.
